limbo/voorgeborchte.installation in museum zandvoort.two guys dressed in jeans with embroideries in front of three photos in which another guy wears similar jeans while he dances on a scaffolding.under the dancer portraits with a historical feel.three more jeans in a show case.one sees the backside (wrong side) of the embroidered colorfields that are inspired by the hanky code the title suggests queers are predestined to be in (the) limbo forever.if lucky

verkeerde kant/wrong side.when one wears the jeans onlookers see the backside of the embroidery,in dutch de verkeerde kant (the wrong side) being of the wrong side is used to degrade queers.the fantasy male dominance cherishes

rib or arch-I:geometrical shape.-II:seven male trousers make an arched rib.as they are soft the rib hangs down.stone ribs make domes possible.domes connect buildings of rulers and religions with the heavens,male dominance seemingly sanctioned by god

a soft sculpture,inspired by a poem in pomes penyeach of james joyce as part of a project after an idea of julia barnes.she composed music for all poems.words were translated in dutch by bindervoet and henkes.inge weeda engraved the poems on perspex.we combined her work on the floor with mine floating above.other art was presented in a more usual way on walls in the oosterkerk amsterdam.julia barnes/facetten van de kunst
